Cemetery Creek [S-4162] is one of 3 sites monitored by Group [ G-2230] Norcross/Buford Hwy Watershed

Site Description: This stream is formed by the confluence of 3 small streams whose headwaters are nearby - it is an unmarked tributary of Beaver Ruin Creek. 1 creek flows from Bostic Road (adjacent to Lillian Webb Park in Historic Norcross) under Buford Highway, where it joins the other 2 streams (one of which emerges from a pipeline also run under Buford Highway.) The stream from which samples are collected is approximately 4' )+/-) wide and several inches to 3' (+) deep where it runs alongside Cemetery Field (soccer complex)and continues to grow in size before joining Beaver Ruin Creek near Mitchell Road in Norcross.

Special Information:The name of this section of waterway does not appear on this map - its confluence is at the corner of Buford Hwy and South Cemetery St and from there it flows almost directly to the headwaters (as shown here) for Beaver Ruin Creek. I named this section Cemetery Creek in reference to the location of where the confluence of piped streams come above ground to create this Beaver Ruin Creek tributary
