Site Description: From where this starts, I call it Richard's Creek, it runs about 2 miles through mostly wooded subdivisions and estate lots, some with horses, until it meets Allatoona Creek at Stilesboro Road. The monitoring site is about 120 yards from where it enters Allatoona Creek. This stream has a tendency to run muddy with heavy rain. Most of the time it runs clear and even in dry times it has a decent flow. I have never (8 years)seen it stop flowing. I rarely see small fish and have never seen a crayfish in it. A little brown foam collects in corners but there is no sewage or other unpleasant odors in the water.
