Tributary to Big Creek [S-2963] is one of 25 sites monitored by Group [ G-1427] Forsyth County AAS

Site Description: This site is at the trailhead of the Big Creek Greenway and will primarily be used for amphibian monitoring but will also be accompanied by chemical monitoring as well. We currently have one amphibian station installed just where a small creek feeds into the wetland at the NW corner. Over the next few months an eagle scout will install more pipes all around the edge of the wetland itself. The map shows the body as a lake but it was drained when they built the Greenway. Now it is just a grassy wetland.
