Peavine Creek headwater tributary [S-2083] is one of 3 sites monitored by Group [ G-1521] Parkwood Garden Club

Site Description: Parkwood Park is a 3.2 acre linear, riparian, stream zone wooded Park owned and maintained by the Parkwood Garden Club, a neighborhood association straddling Historic Druid Hills and City of Decatur. This headwater tributary of Peavine Creek runs from south to north through the center of this Park. Inputs include stormwater runoff from the East Lake MARTA Station parking lots and stormwater runoff from backyard drains on W Parkwood Rd and street curb drains from E and W Parkwood Rds. These particular coordinates are for a single sampling site at the north end of the stream just before it flows north through the culvert under W Ponce de Leon Ave, about 20 feet south of the culvert.

Special Information:This site is one of potentially 3 or 4 sample sites along this same tributary. Two sample sites are planned for inside of Parkwood Park itself. One or two more sample sites are planned south of Parkwood Park (upstream) at some points on private property between East Lake MARTA Station and south end of Parkwood Park.
