Camp Creek [S-1858] is one of 1 sites monitored by Group [ G-1447] Piedmont University

Site Description: Located in the former lake bed of Lake Demorest, just north of the confluence of Camp Creek and an unnamed tributary. The site is ~100 yards south of the former dam location. Sandy bottom, at base level it is ~15 feet across and 2-3 feet deep.

Special Information:The dam was removed permanently approximately 3 years ago. The lake bed is undergoing a suprevised restoration project. It is hoped that the area will serve as a natural wetland where Camp Creek transitions into Hazel Creek.
