Marsh Creek Tributary at Abernathy Rd [S-4388] is one of 17 sites monitored by Group [ G-1330] Watershed Alliance of Sandy Springs

Site Description: Very overgrown late spring to early fall; some narrow paths between head high weeds from weekly bacteria collection and periodic nutrient testing; shallow as it emerges from under the road tunnel; sandy; thickly vegetation on both banks; slightly rocky. Sewer line crosses just after opening of tunnel. Foam buildup around riffles.

Special Information:Carry something to beat back weeds (e.g. machete) and clear path during spring - fall. Park at Abernathy Tennis center, walk past building at far end of lot (opposite tennis courts). Descend slope towards stream and apartments, in line with stairwell on side of the building.
